Yeah, so, it’s all about me this time around. A while back, I agreed … nay, I jumped at the opportunity to be interviewed by the people over at Hidden Gems. What would possess an introvert to do such a thing? I don’t know. Every once in a while, I get the urge to break beyond the bounds of introversion. Then I scuttle back inside my shell.
Are you an introvert? Do you ever have these urges?
At least it’s not a live, in-person, hot mic interview. But it went live today — you can read it over on the blog.
Writing update
I keep plugging away at edits on book 3 of The Lyra Cycle — it’s sooo close. Then I have a special short story project, which I’ll tell you about soon, before I move onto the next novel.
Also, my books are also now available in the Smashwords store — and for a 50% discount until January 1, 2023. You can find my books here or check out all the books in their end of year sale.
What I’m reading & watching
I’ve added a few more books from the library to my virtual holiday reading pile. It’s snowpocalypse out there right now) so I might get a fair bit of reading done. But I’m not sure what to read first — A Master of Djinn by P. Djèlí Clark, Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse or Chilling Effect Valerie Valdes. Have you read any of them? Any suggestions, or should I flip a coin?
I also recently watched Black Widow (now that I’ve broken down and subscribed to the mouse). The action was fantastic, and I loved the tongue-in-cheek bits. And the vest! For us wearers of women’s clothing, the struggle is real. If you’ve seen it, you know what I’m talking about … that’s all I’m going to say.
Happy reading — and happy solstice! May you be safe from the yule cat and skeleton horse.
