I took a little trip this weekend for a family thing. Can anyone guess where I was?

It’s a gorgeous part of the world — the horse flies though :|
I wanted a prize for figuring it out, but I didn’t get that sorted. I love all the giant things in various communities. I’d love if someone would make a coffee table book of them — the goose, the nickel, the apple, the pierogi, the pysanka, etc.
I also had to kill some time in the airport and came across this gorgeous book.
No, I didn’t buy it — I had no room left in my backpack. I would love to do a special edition like this someday. Maybe a Kickstarter.
Speaking of Kickstarter …
Armchair Alien has a Kickstarter! My co-conspirator is running a campaign for her newest book. A standalone novel set in the Encoded Orbits universe, The Lost Star Chart is a quirky, fun adventure with a dash of mystery. I was lucky enough to be a beta reader for this book, and it’s great! You can read more about it in her most recent newsletter.
More books for your TBR shelf
While you’re waiting, check out these books by other indie authors. It’s (mostly) urban fantasy month on the TBR shelf this July.
Battle of the Beasts - there' are some books here for the scifi fans.
I’m going to wrap this up and deal with the wasp that somehow got inside despite everything being closed against the heat.
Happy reading!
